    1. The title of the book implies a quick and dirty low tech type of tradecraft. That's not what this book is about. It is a broad overview of various aspects of modern spying, but it doesn't really have any information that can't be found in other more comprehensive books. A better title would have been "Basic Spycraft" because it serves just fine as an introductory book.

    2. I expected this to be a book advising how to avoid identity theft and having your mobile phone cloned; but it is a genuine attempt to explain the workings of being a secret agent. As anything - factual or fictional - to do with espionage interests me, I still enjoyed this book.
