    1. **Review In Progress**The End. This is the last volume for this series. Or story arc. There is more stories but different sub-series I guess. All major battles against the giant zombies of the days of old. These zombies really are different. More like just living dead. No crazy flesh eaters here. They fight, speak, think and even feel! The team's hands are full and things take some nasty turns. The fights just keep getting more and more outrageous, including hair that holds swords, and eyes that [...]

    2. There's something delightfully over the top about this series, which is the only place outside of an 18th century Gothic novel where you'll see so many dramatic statements and exclamation marks taken seriously. I understand why Araki felt he had to end this part as he did, but I think I'll always feel a bit of regret at Jonathan's fate.

    3. The conclusion of Part 1: Phantom Blood! It's hard not to feel a little emotional during the final showdown between Jonathan and Dio, and those final chapters. I feel this was a great great introduction to the series. It was short, and it introduced some awesome characters! The final chapter may feel like the story ended totally, but Part 2: Battle Tendency is next!

    5. This concludes Part 1, the Phantom Blood arc, which I believe to be the weakest part. That being said, it really does a good job of setting the foundation for the rest of the series. Jonathan is a righteous hero for the following generations to emulate. The action scenes were impressive, and it offers a keen look into why evil people do evil things. And, in typical JoJo fashion, you have Speedwagon narrating in the background, pointing out the obvious or otherwise telling us what the heck is goi [...]

    6. It's sort of sad the epic awesomeness that is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure starts with this story arc. But, if you ain't digging it right off the bat, just try to stick with it until after this first arc and into the second arc. It gets so much better. And just know, things change throughout the whole series.

    7. Public library copy. Having seen the anime first, I found this manga had parts of it not as faithfully adapted. This book will end the Hamon/Ripple powers as seen up to this point before the next generation uses their Stand powers

    10. Phantom Blood was a gritty, intense series, but also one that was dramatic, exciting, and surprisingly touching. While many of the scenes are pretty graphic, the art style is really beautiful, and it was hard to put down. I finished this series in record time, and can't wait to start into the next part! Awesome, awesome stuff. The ending especially was very poignant.Update 5/16/17: Rereading Phantom Blood was an awesome experience, especially (view spoiler)[after the events of Stardust Crusaders [...]

    11. Probably the most action packed edition of the Phantom Blood installments. This followed from the fight with the warriors of Mary Stuart to it grisly conclusion.Just as captivating to read as it was to watch and a fantastic ending to the first series of graphic novels. A great taster for a fully robust series following the Joestar's, love it!

    12. A wild ride from start to finish that ended with a bang (view spoiler)[*ba dum tiss* (too soon? naaaaah) (hide spoiler)]. This volume concludes the first arc of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, so now I'm on to Part 2: Battle Tendency.

    13. This final volume of the first part of this series is suitably insane, weird, gory, and, yes, bizarre. I love this crazy comic, and I'm sure I'll have a blog about it up soon. In the meantime, I've started on the first volume of Part 2, so there will be plenty of nuttiness to discuss.

    14. Well, well. I cannot really decide whats my opinion about this manga. I can understand now why its called "bizarre". Still its really unique and I will continue with the next part.
